A little about Jenny
I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2013.
Upon graduating I was fortunate to be offered a job in Singapore and I spent over 7 years working as an Osteopath in Asia. I was based at multi-disciplinary clinics in the central business districts of Singapore and Hong Kong. I also spent a few months working at an Ayurvedic wellness resort in Sri Lanka. I returned to Ireland in 2021 and have been working in a very busy Osteopathic clinic in the south east of Ireland.
I graduated in 2001 as a Sports Rehabilitation Therapist and spent 12 years working in London within both private clinics and the NHS where I specialised in lower limb orthopaedics as well as falls prevention programmes for the over 65s.
I am passionate about sports and have worked with semi-professional football clubs, boxing clubs and running clubs.
As a qualified Pilates mat work instructor, I use Pilates exercises and principles as a tool within the rehabilitation programmes. I recently became a Holistic Health & Wellness & Nutrition Coach.
Outside of work, I love to travel, exploring different cultures and cuisines. When I’m not travelling I spend my time in the boxing gym, hiking and on the yoga mat.
Why did you choose your profession?
When I was working as a sports rehabilitation therapist with a semi-professional football club I would refer some of the players to an Osteopath for joint manipulation, I loved the way he worked. I then re-injured my lower back and after having Osteopathic treatment, my mind was made up to pursue a degree and career in Osteopathy.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love the diversity of the job. I treat a wide age range from 5 years old to the elderly. I enjoy the holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment that caters to the needs of the individual patient.
I love assisting people in their wellness journey whether it is to regain their health and fitness or to start their wellness journey. I believe in promoting body awareness and providing rehabilitation tools to recover from current injuries and dysfunctions and to use as long-term preventative measures.
What areas do you specialise in?
I specialise in lower limb orthopaedics, both non-operative management of injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. I love working with athletes to rehabilitate them back to their pre-injury fitness levels and strive to improve upon their previous strength, agility and fitness.
I also love working with the over 60’s for fall prevention and improvement of balance and mobility.
What conditions do you most enjoy treating?
I enjoy treating ankle, hip and lower back injuries using a variety of osteopathic techniques, trigger point release, manipulation of joints, craniosacral as well as functional movement rehabilitation.
