Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy offers a natural way to improve your general well-being through gently applying essential oils to your skin through massage
What is Aromatherapy Massage?
Aromatherapy Massage uses a blend of base oils and natural essential oils to soften and nourish your skin. The essential oils penetrate the skin and are absorbed into the bloodstream where they work on relaxing, stimulating and relieving stress and tension stored in the muscles and the body. Deep, firm or gentle pressure can be used to work the oils into the skin.
Who can Aromatherapy Massage help?
If you’re experiencing muscle pain or stiffness, an Aromatherapy Massage can relieve this and help relax the body. Similarly, if you are suffering from stress or feel you’re holding a lot of tension, Aromatherapy Massage is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to work this out of the body.
What to expect
Before your massage, your therapist will agree with you on the right oils or combination of oils to use as part of the Aromatherapy Massage first. They will then use their hands to make gentle movements and add pressure to your skin to absorb the essential oils. You may be asked to remove some of your clothing, and your therapist will step outside the treatment room to give you privacy to do this.
